What guests leave behind and what the reviews catch
Guests are rarely careless on purpose, but a rental takes a different kind of wear than a home. A single hair in the bath, a few crumbs under the toaster, a smudged glass door or a fingerprint on the bathroom mirror ends up in a review. The details people write about are the small ones, because the big ones were fixed before check-in.
Bed presentation counts as much as the surfaces. Linen pulled tight, pillows squared and towels folded into a set make a room read as cared for at first glance. Guests rarely mention it when it's right and nearly always mention it when it isn't.
